Reminders for the Week of November 29th

All Corrected Work Folders should be returned to me by Tuesday. The Corrected Work Folders will go home again on Friday.

All third graders will also receive their Report Cards for the first trimester on Tuesday. Please review the Report Card with your son/daughter as it helps to indicate areas of strength as well as areas for improvement. Report Cards should be signed and returned to school by Friday.

The Vocabulary Test for Unit 5 will be given on Friday. A Spelling Test is also scheduled for Friday.

The children are required to read for twenty minutes each night. One night during the week the children are to post an entry on their Wiki. If Internet access is not available at home, please have your child write the entry on binder paper and he/she will post it on his/her Wiki in the Computer Lab. The children should answer one of the questions under Topics for Journal Entries. The entry should be written in paragraph form and be seven to ten sentences in length.

The Field Trip has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, December 8th. Permission slips with the change of date were sent home in your child’s Corrected Work Folder before the Thanksgiving Break. Please be sure to sign the slip and return it to school.

The Westchester Travel Brochure is due Thursday, December 16th. The Information Sheet must be check by me before creating the brochure.

The Word Problems of the Month are also due Thursday, December 16th. I would encourage all third graders to complete one or two problems a day. Again, children must show their work and the assignment is to be completed on binder paper.

During this busy time of the year please encourage your son/daughter to continue to take pride in his/her work!
