This Week in the Third Grade

Religion-Children will explain what it means to profess our faith and begin to learn the Apostles” Creed. Children will read the Story of the Passover to help them understand that God keeps His promises. The test for this chapter has been changed to Wednesday, November 2nd.

Math-We will finish our Unit on Addition and begin a Unit on Subtraction.

Reading-This week the title of the selection is “Danger-Icebergs”. The focus is determining facts and opinions.

Language Arts-We will write a paragraph with a topic sentence, three major details, and a concluding sentence. The title of the paragraph is “A Person I Like to Have Dinner With”.

Social Studies-We will finish our study of Mountains and Deserts. The test for Chapter 3 has been changed to Friday. A Study Guide will be sent home tomorrow.

Science-We will continue our study of Animals and their Adaptations. The test for this Chapter will be Thursday, November 3rd. A Study Guide will be sent home on Thursday!


TUESDAY-

VOCABULARY-Write a sentence using each of the Vocabulary words. VOCAB TEST for Unit 4 changed to THURSDAY!

SOCIAL STUDIES TEST FOR CHAPTER 3 changed to FRIDAY. STUDY GUIDE will be sent home tomorrow!

MATH-TEST FRIDAY-cover all of CHAPTER 2/ Study subtraction facts (5-10) minutes

RELIGION TEST FOR CHAPTER 6 will be Wednesday, NOVEMBER 2nd
