Dear Parents,
Good Afternoon! Just an up-date on the latest news in the third grade.
This Sunday all third grade families are invited to attend the 9:00 a.m. Mass as we start the celebration of Catholic Schools Week. This is a wonderful opportunity to thank God for the many blessings of our school community. The children are encouraged to be a part of the choir. They should meet Mr. Joseph at 8:45 by the piano. The third graders are to wear their school uniforms to Mass on Sunday, but may wear non-uniform dress on Monday. Listed below are all the activities that will take place during the week.
Monday-Children are asked to bring pre-packaged goods for Alexandria House. This House provides shelter for moms and their children until they are ready to move into permanent housing. The third graders will put together a care package for one of the nine families now in residence at Alexandria House. Our Junior High students will deliver all the care packages to the families!
Tuesday-It is non-uniform dress for all students as we celebrate the children of our school. The children may also wear a crazy hat to school. A movie along with popcorn will be shown to all of the children
Wednesday-On this day we celebrate our Country. Third graders are encouraged to wear red-white-and- blue accessories. A guest speaker will address all the children.
Thursday-Open House! A Parent Meeting will be held in the Parish Hall from 6:00-6:30 prior to Open House. Enjoy as your third grader shows you his/her accomplishments.
This next week finds us starting new Units of Study and finishing up Units of Study
